Can I replace my video card for my toshiba satellite laptop which is about 5 years old? The monitor screen keeps going black and the reboot process doesn't seem to be helping anymore. I have to connect it to a desk top monitor and it works fine.
Thanks!

Then its not the video card, its probably the monitor inverter. Laptop video cards can almost never be replaced.

But yeah, have a laptop repair company look at it, it may not be too expensive. However it may just be better to get a new laptop after 5 years.

I second this. The money you use on that old laptop, can go towards a newer one instead.

You're welcome. I suppose there's no solution to this thread.

You can go to the laptop forums and search for threads, to find answers

to questions you might have. Such as what gaming laptops to get and so forth.
