Hi guys, I've read multiple forums on this topic but can't seem to find a concrete answer. I've added a few new hard drives to my computer and I'm looking to change the boot sequence so I can have a new hard drive boot rather than the old one. Now having said this I've tried to get into bios and it refuses to accept my keyboard inputs. I'm wondering if anyone has a solution to this? Or if anyone has checked out either the 2.50 or 2.40 BIOS updates from ASrocks website to know if they actually remedy some USB compatibility issues.

Things worth noting:
I have tried every USB port.
I do not have a legacy keyboard so cannot use that port.

Wait... LOL

FIRST.
Reset your CMOS.

The Extreme 4 has added USB chipset that are not Intel spec. Meaning you have to try and find the port that correspond to Intels chipset.

Once you are in update the BIOS, this was an issue I had too on earlier revision extreme 4s.

WHOA!

99% of the time u cannot get into BIOS it is because u chose "FAST BOOT" when u set up the PC.

Asrock clearly state that the only way to get back into the EUFI BIOS if you choose FAST or ULTRA FAST on boot, is to reset it.

SIMPLES! Definitely a case of " D'oh! " I spent HOURS trying different keyboards in different ports....:-(
