Is nvidia geforce GT 640M good for gaming

As the title says i want to ask if nvidia geforce GT 640M good for gaming bcauz i am buying a laptop with this graphc card and my purpose is to play games

What's your budget, what laptop are you looking at, and what games do you intend to play?

I own a Sony Vaio with an Nvidia Geforce GT 640M LE, which is a step below the GT 640M, but I'm very satisfied with its performance (and I've heard it easily overclocks to be almost comparable to the 650M). I get decent framerates on BF3 (around 40 average), and very good performance on most other games. I would definitely recommend a 640M, seeing as it's a step above.

However, if your budget's a little higher, there are some much better gaming laptops.

For $800 you could get a decent gaming desktop that could run battlefield 3 on 1080p with low settings, which is pretty difficult. My setup is pretty good for that but you could always stick with your laptop.

A majority of the games out there are at least cpu intensive, so at least try to upgrade the cpu without bottlenecking, but seriously, try gettign a desktop, there are really good builds for 800 dollars.
