Solution
wyldbillp,

The HDD has very little to do with the inner workings on any game.
Other than initial loading and any data changes or renewal.

Once the bulk of data is loaded into memory the hard drive does very little.

If you are concerned about your hard drive you should run some pre-boot tools to test such as WD data lifegaurd and Seagates: Seatools desktop or Seatools DOS to scan the surface of your drive for bad sectors.

You might want to try looking toward your Ram speed and graphics capacity and clock speed.
your Ram may be 8GB but if its only 1333MHz then its quite low quality. If your ram has any issues or your graphics card is overheating it can cause slower speeds.
Even if your ram is high speed such as 1600MHz and above...

Even if your ram is high speed such as 1600MHz and above you need to make sure is been set to the correct speed in BIOS.

In my technical opinion you should invest in a solid state drive drive for any gaming application to ensure the smalles amount of load times.

Solution
Upgrading the video certainly won't hurt.
