External drive unplugged

My verbatim 500 MG external drive became unplugged for a moment, and now my mac won't recognize it at all. Any advice?

I did re-boot, and also plugged it into a different mac, but it doesn't show up. It makes a bit of noise for a moment, and a blue light comes on, but it doesn't appear in the finder so I can't open it.
