I am stuck on which card to get. I have been going through the reviews for each and they are both excellent it seems. I am gaming at 2560x1440p resolution and my only concern with Gtx770 is that some games may need more than 2gb Vram in near future. I only usually like to upgrade every 2-3 years.

Which card would you suggest is best for my needs?

-Not much of an overclocker
-Gaming @ 2560x1440p
-Plays wide array of games. Any new fps, rpg, mmo I will probably check out.
-Last at least 2 years

Narrowed it down to these choices:
MSI N770 Lightning GeForce GTX 770 2GB-$449.99
SAPPHIRE Vapor-X Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition 3GB-$379.99(after rebate)
Gigabyte GTX 770 GDDR5-4GB-$449.99(out of stock atm)

The Radeon just recently dropped more in price and does come with 4 games (2 of which I have played). For performance though which would you recommend for the long term?

I would recommend Vapor X Radeon HD 7970 over GTX 770.
It is much more powerful than the latter.

To be honest it is the strongest single GPU available in the world today easily beating GTX 7(6)80 in almost all games.
The only problem with this GPU is that it requires a big power supply due to enormous amount of power it draws. It is also not the quietest GPU known. :)

Basically you gain performance for the cost of power. The choice is yours. ^^

To be honest - no, it's not.

7970 GHz is a great card, but OC'd 770 beats it by ~10fps in almost any title.

Ehh .. Sorry about that .. At that time it was hardly 1-2 days when I joined forums. I had a lot to learn .. :)

Now I do already about almost all cards up there.

Still, thanks a bunch!
