Ok so yesterday I was working on my computer(disconnected, no power),and upon fiddling in my system, the tip of my magnetic screwdriver just barely tapped the card. I freaked as it is super expensive, I immediately studied the pcb.
Fortunately there was absolutely no visible damage but I was super worried nonetheless, because thats just how I am.

When I put the pc back together and powered on, the graphics card would crash after a user would sign into windows(horizontal lines or blank screen). I connected through the motherboards vga ports, and the display worked perfectly, allowing me to navigate windows. In device manager, My card was still showing up as working, however their was a yellow question mark under "other" that was labeled as "simple pci communications device".

I reset the pc, and the graphics card now worked while I was IN windows. Under device manager, the " simple pci communications" yelow question mark still remained. After uninstalling and reinstalling some ati drivers, the yellow question mark dissapeared, and my graphics card appears to be running normally....I think/hope.

Other than tapping it by accident with a screwdriver. I simply removed the card and put it back into the computer while organizing my psu cables. What i am trying to figure out is if I did not do any damage to the gpu, what caused this graphical mishap? Dust in the pcie slot is a long shot

Thanks in advance for your input. Even though everything appears to be working fine, I am very curious as to what went wrong and cant figure it out.

What would cause it to Crash only after logging into windows and after rebuilding my system, but work after system reset?

My graphics cards appears to be working fine, and I am still testing it.
