I have some questions pertaining to the GIGABYTE GA-Z77N-WIFI, as you may have guessed from the title. :p

How is that Intel wireless chip plugged in to the motherboard? mSATA? If it is mSATA, can I remove the Intel wireless chip and plug in some other sort of mSATA device (most likely some sort of mSATA SSD)? Is it possible to plug some SATA cables into those ports and offer up the ability to plug in a regular HDD/SSD?

Thanks in advance! :D

There appears to be no mSATA interface on that.

If you want something with an mSATA interface, and multiple other SATA ports, buy something that does that.
Instead of trying to shoehorn functionality into something that doesn't support it.

I'm getting this motherboard because it's the most reasonably priced mini-ITX Z77 motherboard for its features. If you look at where the Intel wireless chip thing is plugged in, you can see that it clearly looks like an mSATA port. It might be some kind of interface that looks similar, but it's definitely a plug of some sort; I'd like to know what kind of port/plug it is.

All the Z77 mini-ITX boards have a wireless mSATA chip on them (except the ASRock IIRC) and this is the cheapest one. If it doesn't have enough clearance, that's fine, I may even one day utilize the wireless capabilities of the motherboard :p Could always run some SATA cables to it when I get a couple more hard drives.
