Heya guys!

Quick question that I can't seem to find an answer for - is the mSATA port on the bottom of the AsRock z77e-itx keyed only to mSATA, or can it (like lots of said ports) be used with a mini-PCIe card as well?

Just to clarify: I am not talking about the mini-PCIe slot which already exists on the top of the motherboard - I want to know if I can use the mSATA port on the bottom of the motherboard with a mini-PCIe to PCIe x1/x4 extender.

Thanks!

As far as I can see, you already got that board. So unplug the Wifi card from the top mPCI-E slot and plug it into the mSATA port under. if Windows still recognize that card, then you got your answer. If Windows refuses to, then you got your answer, too.

...wow. Well I feel stupid now.

That was right in front of my nose this whole time and I didn't think of it. I'll try it out and post back here in case anyone else has this question.

Thanks!
