I have been holding off upgrading my HD5870 for a long time now. My CPU is also old, Core i7 930 and I don't know if it will be a huge bottleneck. I can't upgrade both because I don't have the money and also planning to wait for Intel broadwell because haswell is not so much of an improvement.
I only have one 1080p monitor.
Can a normal 7970 reach the overclock settings of an 7970 ghz edition?
(ex. overclock a normal 7970 to 1050mhz)
