Question about fans.

Hi,

I recently installed a new graphics card. When doing so I gave everything a good clean. I noticed when doing this that the fan on top of my heatsink could be removed (by un-popping it). Despite having cleaned everything (plus replacing a case fan which had developed an annoying sound with one my friend had given me) the fan that sits on top of the heatsink is not as quiet as it once was.

Is it possible to buy just a replacement fan, and not the whole heatsink? The cooling system I currently have is a Akasa AK-956CP. I have tried searching for 92mm fans on Overclockers, but they appeared to be case fans. The only other relevant search was heatsinks which were full units.

Help would be much appreciated :)

Thanks for the reply. Only thing is, my computers pretty old now. I want to spend as little money as possible. That way I can start saving towards a new one.

Do you mean CPU fan? Just to double check we're on the same page. I'm trying to find a replacement/upgrade for the fan that actually sits on top of the fins.

I see, got a bit confused there. Thanks very much. I'll have a bit of a look at prices and reviews. Thanks for the help :)
