How can I tell if the CPU Socket Pins for my motherboard are bent?

I am in the process of building a new system. I am using an Intel I7-3770k CPU and an Asus P8Z77-V LE Plus LGA 1155 Intel Z77 motherboard. I was getting ready to install the CPU and cooler and when I started to remove the motherboard from the packaging I noticed the plastic CPU Socket cover was loose in the packaging and not attached to the CPU Socket and covering it. I immediately looked at the CPU Socket to determine if there were any problems and I noticed that some of the pins seemed out of place. Admittedly they are so small that I can't tell for certain if they are bent or if there is a problem. I took a couple of pictures of what saw.

This may sound like a silly question, but how do I tell if the pins are actually bent? Does this make the motherboard unusable? Should I return the motherboard to Asus for a replacement? I am trying to be very cautious and I don't want to attempt to install the CPU if it might damage it or the motherboard.

I'd say those pins are bent, wouldnt try using it.
Sens those images to the retailer you bought the board from and you should be able to get a replacement from them.

It is best to leave it to the OP to select the best answer. For that reason I have deselected it as the best answer.

True, but I thought since the thread is over 1 and a half years old its better to mark the solution so any one else that reads this thread knows what the answer is.
    Thanks!

Though I agree it is still best to let the OP choose the best answer. I have mentioned this to manofchalk.
