Hey guys
so ive been getting back into battlefield 3 lately, playing in surround.
im playing on medium settings and for the most part the game plays great, 90+fps at 5760x1080.
but i get random cpu spikes which cause my fps to drop, and it seems to always happen in the same areas of the maps.
ex: north of d on kharg, outside of b on strike at karkand.

here are some pics showing the fps and perfoverlay at the time

my specs
i7 3930k @ 4.6ghz
asus rampage 4 extreme
tri 4gb 680s
12gb 1333mhz
256mb 840 pro ssd
corsair ax1200 i

ive tried just about everything
i jumped from 4.4ghz to 4.6, good increase in fps but the spikes still occur.
this happens on all settings in the game, low, medium, high.
ive tried lowering the network smoothing factor in bf3
hyper threading off helped but the problem still occurs
speedstep is also off.

is their anything i can try?
anyone else running surround/eyefinity able to verify if this happens to them as well?

i know this might not seem like a huge issue but its very annoying, especially when in a gun fight.

Check your background processes and run a virus scan. No flames for the scan for everyone that reads this, it's a real threat. Make sure that your computer opens NOTHING that isn't critical on start up and you won't get the initial slowdown and things won't be running without you knowing. Just get AVG or something free and remove it straight after.
