HD 7950 OC boost or wait for GTX 760ti?

Hello all,

I've been running a single Gtx 460 1gb for the past three years and have been dying to upgrade. I found a great deal on a sapphire dual x HD 7950 boost OC for $260, but i'm also hearing rumors of the GTX 760ti being released soon and at a 670's performance level for $300ish.

I play games at 1080p with a single monitor (Skyrim, witcher 2, Bioshock Infinite, etc).

With a budget at just around $300 is this a deal thats too good to pass up or would I be shooting myself in the foot not waiting for the 760ti?

STOP USING GPUBoss! For heavens sake IT DOES NOT HAVE BENCHMARKS, it give you NO idea of what real world performance the card delievers, hell according to GPUBoss AMD wins EVERY time.

Please refrain from using that(and HWCompare for that matter) on Toms.

It took us FOREVER to get HWCompare out of this forum and now GPUBoss is doing the same thing.

Has there been any strong rumors on when the 760ti might be released? I've heard August and I've heard Computex.. If it isn't until August i'm just going to grab the 7950.

Ugh..no. I checked out the GTX 770 vs Radeon 7970 BEFORE there were benchmarks. It had the 770 ahead slightly. And what do you know. IT IS!!

Thats not the point. GPUBoss means nothing. Try AnandTech bench. Its not perfect, but MUCH better.
