Hey, so recently I installed the latest CCC for my Radeon HD 7950 because I think it comes along with a newer driver which can improve performance. Anyways, I installed it, however I cannot open it. It says "catalyst control center cannot be started there are currently no settings to be configured..." so anyways does that mean that my installed driver is not having an effect or do I need to have catalyst up for me to gain that performance boost? Because I heard the only way to fix that catalyst problem is to re-install Windows 7, which I'm not in the mood to do lol.

The CCC and drivers can be installed separately you have just updated/reinstalled the CCC without the drivers and I think it is just confused.
Download the latest WHQL driver package from the AMD site.
Uninstall ALL your AMD software and restart.
Install the downloaded driver package, use the 'express' option to install all of it.
Restart.
Done.
