So long story short i bought my EVGA gtx 670 ftw a few weeks ago. Should i use EVGA step up program and just get the 770. The only problem is they will give me the 770 stock version. My question is, is the 670 FTW better then the gtx 770 stock or should i just keep the 670 ftw. Need an answer fast cause im running out of time to take EVGA's step up program.

Do it. Stock GTX770 is just as good as the FTW...

Stock EVGA GTX770 is the one with plastic cover, not the one nVidia sent to tech sites:

The 770 is just a lightly overclocked 680. At a finally sane price, with a higher power draw. There is noting special about it. That being said they are the same price on EVGAs site, and they do have overclocked and custom cooler ones, so if it cost you Less than 20 bucks it's probably worth it.

Whats your point? The FTW cooler is overrated. The plastic cooler is more than sufficient, its just louder.

As from the TPU review, the cooler on FTW 670 is more than just decent in both temperature and noise. Unless the 670 CrazymanWO got was a normal FTW one, not the Signature2 version. If that's the case then upgrading to a 770 really worth it. Sorry for the mistakes, if I made any.

You will not get much of an overclock on a GTX770, even if its got a great cooler. They are VERY limited in OCing ability... Still worth the upgrade though if you don't mind a louder card.

So i have officially applied for the step up. It was only 20 dollars extra. I think its worth it for the 10 percent increase in performance. I can also OC the card if i have to. Thanks for all the help guys. BTW the gtx 770 is back oderded on EVGA so Im not going get the card for a long time hahahah.

LOL still worth it. I am sure you can keep your card in the meantime.
