I come to the experts before I ask anyone else and this forum has been a blessing In helping me figure out prior issues but no I am officially stumped.

I just finished an amd fx6300 build my specs are as follows

Asus sabertooth 990fx board
Amd fx6300
12 gb of corsair vengeance 1600 9-9-9-9-24 2x 4gb,2x2gb ( may have to many 9s )
Hyper evo212
5 fans - 3 exhaust 2 intake
Gigabyte hd7870 oc edition
500 gb wd black

Now the problem is that at first boot the system read only 8gb of ram. I pressed the MEMOK button and when it rebooted it said 12gb which is good but once I go to save the settings it reverts it back to 8gb 1333mhz . I tried to manually set timings and still nothing I am confused and have been looking for days for a solution so if you guys could me out I would appreciate it . I know my dimm slots as functioning because I tried 1 stick in each slot and it worked but all together it won't show all 12 also my installation of windows 7 ultimate x64 detects 12 gb but usuable on 7.5 ???

Please Tom and everyone bestow your experience and wisdom on me

CMZ4GX3M2A1600C9 is not a 2x4GB kit, it is a 2x2GB kit. Anyway, it is not uncommon to have compatibility problems when mixing multiple kits together. While it is possible that they will work together, Corsair doesn't guarantee that mixed kits will work together.

Mixing memory kits, regardless of brand or model, is not recommended. Each memory kit are tested to ensure compatibility within each memory kit. By mixing memory kits together, there may be compatibility issues such as unable to boot or unable to operate at rated specifications.
