so i just applied thermal paste..
so whenever i have to remove the heatsink to perform cleaning(usually in 3-4 months), what happens to thermal paste??
will it need too much force to seperate heatsink from cpu, because the cpu and heatsink are now kind of glued together with thermal paste??

after seperating and cleaning, will the paste keep working fine if i just put the heatsink on again??

i mean, how do you basically perform cleaning after applying thermal paste??
and yes, the removal of heatsink is necessary in my case..
please help..

You will have to reapply thermal paste each time you remove the heatsink. The heatsink shouldn't take too much force to remove, just twist a bit as you pull it away from the CPU. To remove old thermal paste use 90% or greater rubbing alcohol, or a dedicated type of thermal paste remover and some kind of low or no lint cloth or Qtips. Make sure all thermal paste is removed, do what you need to do and then reapply fresh thermal paste when you put it back together.
