new psu for gtx770

For a system using a single GeForce GTX 770 graphics card NVIDIA specifies a minimum of a 600 Watt or greater system power supply that has a maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 42 Amps or greater and that has at least one 6-pin and one 8-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors.

Total Power Supply Wattage is NOT the crucial factor in power supply selection!!! Total Combined Continuous Power/Current Available on the +12V Rail(s) rated at 45°C - 50°C ambient temperature, is the most important factor.

Overclocking of the CPU and/or GPU(s) will require an additional increase to the maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current ratings, recommended above, to meet the increase in power required for the overclock. The additional amount required will depend on the magnitude of the overclock being attempted.

I think NVIDIA's requirement of a maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 42 Amps is about 10 Amps more than is required for an ASUS GTX 770. It should be 32 Amps or greater for your card.

The Corsair Enthusiast Series Modular TX550M (CMPSU-550TXM), with its maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 45 Amps and with two (6+2)-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors, is more than sufficient to power your system configuration with a single GeForce GTX 770 graphics card.

Yes, it's more than sufficient.

The old CMPSU-650HX model is 80 PLUS Bronze certified and has been discontinued. This model had the +12V current rating of 52 Amps and also had four (6+2)-pin PCI-E power connectors.

It has been replaced by the new HX Series HX650 SKU# CP-9020030 model that is 80 PLUS Gold certified. This model has a +12V current rating of 54 Amps and the number of (6+2)-pin PCI-E power connectors has been reduced to two.
