My rig: fx-6300, 8gb vengeance, Sapphire radeon 7850 OC, ASUS m5a97 r2.0
Now as you can see, my pc is more than capable of handling instensive, directx 11 games and it has for a very long time now. Recently, windows did some redistributable update (i don't know much about redistributables) and it was concerning directx 9, now this may or may not be related to the fact that i cannot play anything that requires directx 11. It started with me trying to play hitman absolution and getting the error "Failed to initialize directx 11" and i cannot also play max payne 3 or L.A. noire. I've tried to run the dxdiag (windows diagnostic) and i get an error saying "error: could not load DXDIAGN.DLL"
*Note: all my games are purchased steam downloads and not torrents
Is there any other way i could check my directx version? and if so, how can i get directx 11 back?
