Okay, so i just built a new computer, a few problems but sorted out quickly. I have installed all the drivers i have, e.t.c.
Whats happens is, when i attempt to run a program that could be listed as 'intensive'(a game, google chrome e.t.c), te computer instantly restarts. Im not sure why it is doing this, i know my GPU is powerful enough to do all this. Could it be the power supply failing? Heres is a list of my parts:

Processor- AMD Phenom ii x6 1055t
GPU- Geforce GT640
Hard drive- Seagate constellation ES 1tb 3.5" 7200rpm
RAM- Patriot G2 series 8gb (4x2gb)
Mother Board- Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3
Power Supply- Thermaltake purepower 480w butterfly

Please help me quickly :L

I suspect it might be the powersuply bein overloaded tehermatake is not known for making good powersuplies

i would stick to corsair seasonic, xfx, antec and silverstone for powersuplies

i used that, it didnt find an error, it then restarted my pc.
But, could something like an AC97 wire not plugged in properly cause the problem, i found it wasnt in properly
