Difference in PC2-5300 (667 MHz) and PC2-6400 (800 MHz)

I have a Compaq SG3570IL Desktop PC ,I am recently experiencing a lack of Ram. I had installed another 1Gb ram that makes it 2Gb.now i found out that there is a difference in the the two Ram ports just wanted to know the difference and tha maximum ram that i can install in my PC .

max 6400 it will faster than 5300 .. litlle bit

i think the CPU has a 1066Mhz FSB, you can take the PC2-5300 and save money, there won't be any difference in performance. If the price is really close, just get the PC2-6400. good luck
