is this good to update windows 8 from microsoft updates?

i have windows 8 and have several updates,but i wont update this from windows update........

i want to know that is this good to update from windows update feature or is there any bad problem when i update....

i mainly use it for gaming and want to know this any performence problem arise for this updates or not..........

...so you don't trust the makers of Windows to update with their program, but want a 3rd party to update it for you? Even with all the E-hacking going on?

Edit: I read that wrong, of course it's safe and would be wise to update, as they are always fixing security risks to stop said E-Hackers, from hacking you.
