Still needs case and PSU though, I'd recommend the Coolermaster Elite 342 case, which comes with a 500W PSU. I think it's around £50.

This exceeds your budget slightly, but it's worth it. I can make it slightly cheaper if you want though.
  3. That setup is pretty good for your budget what I do recommend (don't quote me on this) is to grab a highend i3 cpu, I remember watching one of Jackfrags' video and he had a highend i3 with the 7770 and it could run bf3 on 1080p low settings, same with dayz with 30 fps in the laggiest city.
  4. I have an Athlon II x4 640 (3.3ghz) and a HD 7750, and I play BF3 on Ultra @ 1080p @ 30fps (no deferred or post AA though). Which leads me to believe you've misquoted, or the i3 is just crap.
  5. Well, chances are in the video he used a certain cfg to fix the fps
  6. If so, why would he not show that the i3 is capable of Ultra on BF3?

I know for a fact that my CPU isn't as good as an i3, yet I play at better settings than he displayed.
Additionally, my 7750 isn't as good as a 7770 (obviously).

    I am curious :P
  7. Taking into fact hes played bf3 for ages, that is a question I can't answer
