Help with a budget gaming pc?

It is my birthday next month and i have asked for a gaming pc, i have a budget of £350 maybe £400 so i want the best specs for that amount. Can somebody suggest some ideas please

Still needs case and PSU though, I'd recommend the Coolermaster Elite 342 case, which comes with a 500W PSU. I think it's around £50.

This exceeds your budget slightly, but it's worth it. I can make it slightly cheaper if you want though.

That setup is pretty good for your budget what I do recommend (don't quote me on this) is to grab a highend i3 cpu, I remember watching one of Jackfrags' video and he had a highend i3 with the 7770 and it could run bf3 on 1080p low settings, same with dayz with 30 fps in the laggiest city.

If so, why would he not show that the i3 is capable of Ultra on BF3?

I know for a fact that my CPU isn't as good as an i3, yet I play at better settings than he displayed.
Additionally, my 7750 isn't as good as a 7770 (obviously).

I am curious :p
