after installing a new sata drive into my machine i have a new screen popping up on boot up called intel matrix disk manager and it lists my hard drives gives some options then flashes away like the bios screen does it doesn't seem to affect my performance but it makes me wonder if i made an error in installation since i am an amateur. I have an HP p6204y 2core duo 2.7mghz 8gb ( 4x2) pc2_6400 ram 1.5 tb memory , nvidia gtx 670, 550watt power supply> My default installation was main drive in sata port 0, optical drive in sata port 1, so i put new sata drive into port 2. should I have moved optical drive to port 2 and put the new drive on port 1 or should I have piggy backed one into the other with a jumper ? also i allocated the new drive as a new volume through the windows program not through the bios. can i get rid of this screen why does it pop up now and does it mean something is unfinished ? any help you can give is welcomed

Joel in the computer bios check that te Sata ports set to achi mode or IDE. If there set to raid the intel matrix raid controller I'll be turned on. If it not there see if there a setting turning off the onboard raid chipset.

Ok do i went into bios sure enough set to RAID even though i set them to IDE in the matix disk manager so i changed it and hit save to start windows and windows failed to start and freaked out so i restarted entered bios and changed it back to RAID about 30 minutes of running a startup fixer that came up it finally came back up whats the deal there
