best CPU match?

hey guys i have a gtx 650 ti which can max crysis 3 @720p with playable FPS :)
but here is the problem i have an Athlon II x2 270 @4GHZ and it's only dual core so it's pretty much bottlenecking the GPU right? so if it is what do u guys recommend? The fx bulldozer cpu (which i have read it sucks) or the phenoem?
P.S i want only a quad core,and i don't care about temps and power consumption crap all i care about is GAMING!

Crysis 3 can use 6 threads, so an FX 6300 would be best. But if you're looking at quad core AMD CPUs, The Phenom II 965 BE is really the best option. It loses by a little bit to the FX 4300, but if you overclock it then the Phenom II will win.

ok i can afford 6300 will ut be better than a phenom becasue i have read that the fx-series isn't a true quad\hexa\penta core

Well, that is sorta true. Piledriver is still better though performance wise (and power efficiency). Actually I think they released the FX 6350, so that would be a good option too.

so should i go with the fx-6300 or the phenom 2 x4 955 in terms of gaming? i can afford both
