So I am trying to build my own computer. Nothing fancy but able to play games such as battlefield or far cry on medium to high settings. Not trying to run ultra settings on 3 monitors or anything. And I'm trying to decide in a CPU to go with my budget. Also for my graphics card I'm swinging more towards nvidia rather that AMD/ATI. First question, would it be better to go with like a AMD FX-6200/6350 or an Intel i3-3220t. They are the same price and in my budget but which should I go with, keeping in the mind running a graphics card of say a GTX 650 or 650 ti. Thanks!

fx-6350 would be better for games like far cry, and battlefield 3. these games both utilize multiple cores
My monitor that I have previously bought is 1080p and I have my Playstation 3 hooked up to it right now and it runs like a champ.
Well I need all parts cause I'm still in the research phase and just looking at different benchmarks for both CPU and GPU's.
My budget is around $600.
Yes I will need an operating system and will probably go with Windows 7. I have messed around with 8 and wasn't impressed.

when you say BF or Fc............... are these the modern ones (FC2/3-BF2/3)?
after the operating system you'll only have 500 bucks. kinda shy to run modern games where you want/how you want.

I tried to build something for 500 but got to 412 without the opsys, dvd drive or HD.
I can put together a system using an APU but that's about it. Nothing else makes sense. Junk parts are junk parts.
