I have a 'eMachines eView 17f3' CRT monitor & it is having problems.

The bottom of the screen, there are flickering lines that intermediately appear & disappear. Theya re staying on screen for longer periods of time now.
They tend to start to appear after the monitor has been on for awhile. Turning off the monitor & back on makes the lines disappear, but they eventually start reappearing.
Also tapping/hitting the bottom of my monitor will affect the flickering lines. Like they will jump up a little or disappear for a split second.

I tried using different cables connecting the monitor to the power outlet & that didn't solve anything.

My monitor also seems to be randomly re-sizing(stretching/fitting) the entire screen display by super small amounts as well. This happens rarely though.

My monitor is 10 years old, but I like it. I have a old LCD display as a back up, but it sucks! It has dead pixels, really low contrast, ultra bad viewing angles, ghosting & very noticeable lag. It's also way too bright & hurts my eyes (there is no backlight option).
I want to keep using my CRT monitor.

I'm afraid its reached the end of its lifetime. Time to buy a new one.

Say it ain't so. My Monitor works flawlessly for the first few hours/up to the first hour on boot up until exhibiting this problem.
It's like overheating is the problem.
