I'd like to update my bios to version 3029. I use EZ FLASH 2 and use a USB stick for the file. Every time I go to update it I select the file and it says it is incompatible file yet downloaded from ASUS site..

Anyone have any idea how I can fix this or maybe even update it via another way? And the reason I'm updating is because I see a lot of people showing a worthy improvement in games by updating to 3029.

Any help is appreciated.

I have already extracted it using Winrar. The file name is now called M4A89GTD-PRO-ASUS-3029. I put it on a FAT32 Usb stick and used ez flash as said and attempted and said incompatible. I know I have a older version as far as I know I have never updated and the BIOS version is from 2011 and this version is from 2012 that I'm attempting to use.

That worked. Now as I figured I'd run into at least one problem from doing that. I now cannot overclock my 1090t. I had it to 3.9ghz and I set all my bios to default and now when I re attempt over clock it gets to windows screen and is about to bring me to desktop because I dont have a password and then I get instant blue screen and crash within seconds. any ideas?

I was able to over clock after reseting cmos. Now when it logs into windows I lose most of my system tray Icons and I also have a lot of mouse and keyboard lag as well as starting programs. When I set back to defaults it works as normal minus my over clocks.

You should put the ROM file in your (C: ). boot up with EZFlash and find the file and it should update. this is the way i did it.
