Need router to replace e2000

Hi,

Your link is dead or something but I have been using asus router in motel and been pleased compared to linksys, dlink and others.

I recently installed a rt-n66u and is very pleased about it.
The only problem I find with all routers is you get trouble after 2-3 years, need to reboot and reconfigure once in a while.

Hey,

let go at it again:

So, I am sitting 4 feet away from the e2000 router with a cable connected to my laptop. The wifi single is not strong enough to go 4 feet???!!! Good. job. linksys.

This is not normal, You should be able to go at least 10-15 feet with a good connection.
1- Do you have the same problems with iphone and blackberry ?
2- Have you reset you router?
3- If yes, maybe reseting to defaut then reconfigure ?
4- Didi you go to linksys website and update firmware like ur6beersaway suggested ?

How old is the router, if it's brand new, it should;d work fine, if it's 2-3 years old, must be time to change it.

Any router should be able to manage a lot of device without any problem unless you have 20-30 device all downloading crazy on the router.

I suggest Asus routers because it's the one's I had better luck with. They last longer, have better range and connectivity.

I am using that router (ASUS RT-AC66U) In a motel with usually between 20-40 devices on it and so far no problems.

It is the best router I have used so far. (compared to dlink dir-655, dir-825, linksys wireless g routers ect. )
