So, I recently got a new GTX650 Ti BOOST, I got BF3 and ran all the settings on Ultra, I got into a combat scene, and the FPS holds around 50 to 60. But sometimes, it randomly drops to around 2 fps, and recovers after around 1 second. These little lag spikes are annoying, any ways I can get rid of them?

its only a 650ti, and if you play with a lot of people your gpu cant handle it. try tweaking the nvidia control panel and raising the gpu clocks. i know i had the same problems on my 550ti when i first got it , it would randomly spike trying to push it on higher settings, finally sli'd and it helped a lot. put your pre rendered frames to 2, power control to max, single display performance mode, adaptive vsync, and lower some of the other settings a hair lower. helped me on bf3 alot and eliminated the spikes.

ohh also ive heard the mouse mode under bf3 helps as well, change it to raw mode. that seemed to help me as well

From the way he worded it I guessed he was playing singleplayer, doubt a 650ti would get anything above 15FPS in multiplayer.

Hmm, weird.. I use an Core2Quad q6600 with an OCZ 700watt psu and an ASUS GTX650 Ti Boost and im running BF3 smooth as hell on ultra.. Try using optimalize it in GeForce experience and use Razer game-booster.. No framedrops..
