Well, my friends have been bugging me to start streaming. They feel like it'll bring a competitive edge to the games we play, especially when we get a lot more action than the people that are actually currently streaming.

Now my set up is pretty modest for gaming.

Currently these are the specs.

CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 965 Black Edition (unlocked multipliers)
Mobo: Biostar TA870U3+
GPU: AMD HD Radeon 7950
PSU: Corsair TX750
RAM: 12GB DDR3s

Now with the setup i have, i have no issues playing games. But when i try to stream cpu intensive games i definitely have a problem.

I've thought about buying a capture card, but i would rather just upgrade my base setup without spending money on unnecessary peripherals.

I was thinking about just upgrading my cpu to a newer FX Amd cpu, however when i look at the specs of AMD vs Intel. The discrepancies are too large too ignore.

What i would like is to switch my Mobo & Cpu to an intel platform with a core i7 3770k as the cpu of choice. However now i'm stuck as to what mobo i should get.

However if someone could give me some sound advice as to whether sticking to my amd setup and getting an FX would probably be more bang for the buck that would be great.

I'm looking at a preferred budget of 400 dollars. 500 would be my MAXimum.

Anything is appreciated thanks for reading!
