How much GPU do i actually need?

I have a MSI 5450 right now, its a pretty low end card. I was thinking a GTX650 ti boost. When i actually think of it, thats a little too much for me now I think. I am looking at a 7750 (I have a cheap 450W PSU). A 650ti non-boost would prob work just fine. It NEEDS to be consistent 30+ fps. I cant stand being laggy. I'll be playing at 1080p also. I can go 720P if I have to though.
specs:
cpu:AMD athlon II 640 3ghz
psu:450W (no 6pin power)
gpu:msi 5450

Judging by your pc specs I think you know what you're doing. 650 boost is just $50 more. So we'll see what I get. I'll definitely look into the 7770. It seems to be right in the middle. Thanks.
