Just upgraded to SSD. I freshly installed windows 7 in SSD and didn't touch my former HDD. However, I cannot use some of the files since it says access denied.

How can I uninstall the softwares from my old hdd? Should I just delete it?

Follow-up question:

Is there anyway to retrieve my saved passwords from my hdd's browsers?

Not sure about the retrieving of passwords but if you have nothing else important on the drive you might consider formatting it (after you copy the files you feel you must keep) instead of just deleting files and programs. You may need to take ownership of the drive before you can since you are getting an access denied message. To take ownership of the former HDD, right click on the drive, click on properties, click on the Security tab, Click on the Advance button near the bottom, click on the Owner tab and then add your username or click on Edit, select your name, and click on Apply.

Before trying the above but after clicking on the Security tab you could click on your username and check the permissions you have for that drive. You want to make sure Full control is checked under Allow. If that doesn't work then you can try to take ownership of the drive. You will have to do this as an administrator.
