Nopes. Alienware was awesome before Dell owned it. Now its just crap.
It sells same configuration for much higher prices. You can get Lenovo Y500 with almost same processor, more RAM, and dual SLI GTX 750 2 GB Graphics.
It makes up for good configurations and costs half of that price! Alienware is good only when you go for really high end models having powerful GPUs and processors with lots of RAM but that configuration exceeds his budget. So Alienware here won't suit.

I'd rather have a M17X with a gtx 680 than a SLI setup with crappy lenovo cooling in a laptop. But hey that's me to each his own.

You might also wanna wait untill Haswell laptops come out, they should be less power hungry so good for battery life.
