Wondering if this LED strip will work with a fan controller

Hi guys! I am currently in the process of building my first desktop system. I was thinking of doing LED fans but I'd rather keep those for the top compartment of my NZXT 410.

This is the link to the strip I'm thinking about getting

I noticed that it has a 3 cable connector, so I was wondering if it'll with a bay mounted fan controller (the Phantom 410 controller is 2 pin only)

Probably not if you try to use the fan controller to slow it - it's likely to get upset with PWM resetting it hundreds of times a second.

Get a peripheral>3-pin adapter, and power it using that.

Should I use the molex connector to just plug it right on to the PSU?

Yeah - the voltage change from the fan controller would probably confuse it.

Oh ok. I also just realized that the voltage of the strip is 12v, anything else I should know when installing this?
