I had motherboard named ASUS P5GC-MX X series but it was damaged due to some reason.
The next thing i did was to buy a Giabyte g41 motherboard with Intel g41 express chipset on it but when i researched on internet about the comp-ability of this express chipset with my processor i.e. Intel Pentium D 925 @ 3.00ghz the g41 express chipset was not in the 'compatible products' page of my processor and whenever I try to insert this processor (Intel Pentium D ) and start my computer the bios loads when the pc starts and ii even displays my processor name on my bios but then it automatically shutdowns (my pc) and then it won't startup. But i have one more processor i.e. Intel Celeron @2.53 and it runs perfectly for me. But I want to use Pentium D and i think it is processor incompatibility that is making this issue. Please help me!!! I'm in desperate need of my Pentium D 3.00ghz processor.

Here is the link where i saw that g41 express chipset is incomaptible with my Pentium D 3.00ghz processor ait this chipset was not displayed in the list of compatible chipset page : http://ark.intel.com/products/27517/

No, what you need to do is go to the motherboard manufactures website. Look up your motherboard. Go to CPU Support verify your CPU's support on that board. If its states its compatible it will list a BIOS revision number download that BIOS and Flash it. There should be instructions on there page to do so.
Have you gone through the gigabytes cpu support list for that cpu. Also, you may need to flash your bios sir socket 775 was pretty good at accepting chips I think you should be okay but yea I'd check that list that gigabyte has for that board.

So if socket 775 is pretty good at accepting chip so does it means that my chip is damaged. So if u want i can take pic of that processor (front and back in its existing condition) if you want. It may have happened that the back of that processor may have get burnt or something else. Would flashing and updating my bios would work?
