Is GTX 780 worth it? or go for 770?

Okay so I am building a new rig for gaming..

I want to play all of my games on ultra.. (WarZ, GMod, BattleField 3, FarCry, possibly Metro Last Light, BioShock, Elder Scrolls Online, etc. etc.)

Is the GTX 780 worth the $650 price tag? That is very expensive for a video card, so is it worth purchasing? or will it just be an overkill and not really be worth it?

I am considering to stick with just a 770 as they are way cheaper and were being said to have GTX680 performance for $100 less.. but then I seen this - http://gpuboss.com/gpus/GeForce-GTX-770-vs-GeForce-GTX-680

So now I am all confused, and don't know what to do. :/

Actually if you can't afford GTX 780, go for GTX 770. It is about 15% weaker than GTX 780.

And GTX 770 is overclocked version of GTX 680. They gave it 8.8 while 9.0 to 60 because it was an overall great GPU.
GTX 770 is stronger than 680, no doubt in that. :)

Why did the GTX 680 get much higher FPS than the 770 one all of the tested games from this testing then? 0 http://gpuboss.com/gpus/GeForce-GTX-770-vs-GeForce-GTX-680

Remember this, no two GPUs or CPUs are alike. Each and every one is quite unique.
