If i'm correct, you are getting Blue screen of Death and it shows Kernel.exe is not responding. If it's BSoD, then try download Bluescreen view from Nirsoft.net and run it as Admin. Copy paste the one with Red letters the info when you click on it. it should say what trigger it. Maybe a process name. Post it here after what you tried from Das_stig when it's still not working please.

sfc /scannow is only a check. sfc /scannow -r i think was check then repair. But i will let Das_Stig help you in this case. As i think the only way that might repair it might be from CD repair.

Run a virus scan I pretty sure Kernel.Exe isnt a vanilla system process (So feel free to terminate it!) its either from a program you have installed or a virus.

Good one, i forgot had this point too. Also do you happen to know Dtaskmanager? Try download that, run as admin and see where the path leads to for the Kernel.exe or make a printscreen and post the link of prntscrn here.

One more thing:

Press Windows R same time and type in . " msconfig " without quotes.
Click on "startup" and see if you see the name Kernel.exe in the list. if you do please make a printscreen of that too.

@The_Doctor can you download Dtaskmanager, Autorun and Assistent software ? With this if you are to use remote access share screen you can help them easier with these 3 software.

Not all virus can be detected. Keep this in mind. But have you tried with Dtaskmanager? if that software is still running you can see exact path where the file is located at. Also with Autorun.exe software you can see your startup where it came from too.

the funny thing i found in your path is that on my PC the %appdata%\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\ there is no folder called programs. only start menu. And inside that start menu doesn't contain the Kernel.exe . which means it was a virus and not only in that folder but also other places.
