Hi. Suddenly my notebook turn off, and I couldn't turn it on again. And from service I got that video card is down, and the chipset must be replaced. And this all costs ~ 200$. My notebook is HP dv7-4121er. I want to ask, can I repair it myself? e.g. buy video card chipset and engrage it into motherboard?

Your GPU is soldered on to system board, so you will have to replace the whole thing, unless you are verify skillful in desoldering.
