I just built my first pc. It's been running fine for 3 weeks. Temps stayed low. Today I sat down at my desk and my keyboard cord was tight. I unplugged it to un tangle it and the power strip came out of the wall. I plugged the power strip back in and now my pc has no power. I've checked 3 different outlets and the switch on the back of the power supply. No power at all. I also opened it back up and unplugged the 20+4 pin connector from the motherboard and reconnected it. Nothing....Please someone tell me whats wrong

Could not find a comprehensive review of the specific PSU, However RaidMax is Not know for "quality" PSUs

Did Find this: "Tier 5 - Other than the units listed above for any of these brands, NOT RECOMMENDED. Replace ASAP if you have one. "
Only Tier listed is in Tier 5 and does not specify model Nr.

PS I never recommend any PSU below tier 3 and myself only buy tier 2 or 1 (Tier one normally too expensive).

I've tried 2 different power supplies and 3 different outlets. No power... :'( I was on a budget when I built the pc..time to start saving again DX Hopefully it didn't fry the MO or cpu.

PSU is a ?????

Normally intrupting the AC input does not kill a PSU - clarification that is for a "quality" PSU. for the Low end PSU that are NOT recommended as a PSU it is a possibility.

Sudden loss of Power, can harm a MB in that the spikes induced can exceed the voltage ratings on MB components, again this pertains more to the Low quality PSUs.

With Quality PSUs I have never lost a PSU ot MB do to sudden loss of AC.

Does the PSU have an internal fuse??

Added: Since you have tried a "known" good PSU, sounds more like it took out the MB and or CPU.

I'm not sure how to tell if it's got a internal fuse. I have a raidmax rx-530ss power supply
