I currently have one 1080p monitor with an XFX HD6850 and just bought another 1080p monitor. I will only be using one for gaming and the other for videos and other things simultaneously. My question is will my game performance suffer a bit from the two monitor set up, and should I upgrade?

Your performance wont suffer from dual monitors, the only problem is one will be hdmi the other will be dvi which is fine. As for upgrading that is really up to your budget and power supply, if you have the money go for something from the 7000 series.

You take a barely noticeable hit from running two monitors at once off your graphics card, but note that running a video and gaming at once might be taxing on your CPU, depending on how powerful it is and what game you're playing.

This is what I am currently running:

Z77 Sabertooth 1155 motherboard
i5 2550K
Corsair H80 Watercooling
XFX 6850 (double dissipation edition)
4 x 4gb (16gb) Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz RAM
120 Kingston HyperX SSD SATA III
500gb 7200rpm Hard drive
Corsair 850 watt Gold certified psu

Then you'll get performance very similar to what you already get with one monitor. If you want to test exactly what it's going to be like, play a video in the background while you're gaming - that should come pretty close.

Exactly what Dark said. The gpu wont be doing any extra work technically, you are just going to be using to to do more stuff at once. So if you can run a video/stream while playing a game now, having one on each monitor wont be different.

Thank you DarkSable and Gam3r01, I feel much better about sticking with my hd6850 for now... Im probably going to try to see if I can make some money off of it anyways on amazon or something cause I would like a newer gpu, but if it doesnt sell ill just stick with it, since it runs really well in most games.
