copy software from win7 to win 8

As the old saying goes, sorry Charlie no can do. Problem is with the Registry entries that are required for the program to run.
I have migrated programs from WinXP->Vista, then to Win 7. But that was when OS + programs was on One computer and New OS on a second computer. Required a Paid-for software program
