Will my CPU bottleneck future GPU setup?

My current PC specs:
-i5-3570k
-8GB RAM
-GTX 580
-1x 1TB HDD
-1x 500GB HDD
-Win7 Ultimate x64

So I wanted to upgrade and get either 2 GTX 770's or wait and get 2 AMD 9970's.

Would my i5-3570K bottleneck the two 770's or the two 9970's???

I'm also upgrading my RAM to 16GB Corsair.

So you think just sticking to a single card such as the GTX 780 would be a better option? Cause I'm just playing at 1920x1200, but I was trying to future proof my system...

Well that's good to know. Now it just comes down to picking between the GTX 780 and waiting for the AMD 9970
