Right, so I am upgrading my Phenom II x4 970 system. And need help deciding which way to go, pls no fanboying between Intel or AMD, I am aware about both so no need to inform me.
Components im keeping:
XFX 6950 2GB Dual Fan Cooling
Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB (1866)
Hyper 212+ Heatsink
I have chosen three different systems I am struggling to choose which one to purchase. Heres the AMD system:
AMD FX 6300
Asus M5A99X EVO Rev 2.0 990X
XFX Pro Black Edition 750W Full Modular
This build, had the aim of upgrading the FX 6300 once the next set of AMD chips come out, which will be AM3+ compatible. The PSU and Mobo are more expensive than the 2 other builds, I suppose for being more future proof and lasting me longer.
Intel i5 3570k
Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H
Corsair CX750M 750W Hybrid Modular
I will be mainly gaming, and this CPU is the most obvious chose for the best performance. However not much room to upgrade in the future.
Intel i5 4670k
Gigabyte Z87-HD3
Corsair CX750M 750W Hybrid Modular
There have been some benchmarks, showing increased performance, and I like this chose as there is more from to upgrade in the future, of course depending on how long they utilise the 1150 socket. Also not sure about which motherboard, will stick with either Asus or Gigabyte.
