I have a laptop and I really like Anti-Aliasing and then I began to wonder if there is some way to super sample my desktop. How would I do this or is there a program I would need to use that is safe?
Anti-aliasing is not 'more pixels'. It is a smoothing of the transitions between colors. For instance, between a white space and a black space, it would introduce a line of grey, to smooth things out.
Go into your display settings, and verify that ClearType is turned on.

What are you actually trying to do here?
I am wondering if I could have my display at a higher resolution than it allows in a sense. More of Anti-Aliasing though. When in a game you turn on Anti-Aliasing it smooths the pixels so that they are harder to differentiate. So then could I do that with my desktop where it is rendering more pixels making the colors smoother?
