so if you drop your dual core processor and add this quad core, and you buy this 60 dollar board, is that close enough for you to make the jump to a quad core?

An asus motherboard would be better overall to have, plus the decision vs micro atx and atx

It has a 4.2 rating which is pretty good. Gigabyte is good for its price, overall asus is typically better but they are more expensive as you saw.
