my ps2 port died a few months ago..
so i bought a cheap ps2 to usb converter(actually it has mouse ps2 along with keyboard ps2)
when i plugged it in, pc didn't detect the keyboard..then i reloaded my bios..then it started detecting it..
but since then,it's not working properly in games..it detects keystrokes fine but a weird problem is that keys don't detect continuous input..like,i'm moving forward with 'w' key,or going back with 's' key, it would go a little distance and then it would stop, so i have to press it again and again..
outside of games,it works normally
and i forgot to add that multimedia keys like volume + or - etc.. are not working at all...
i have also set the bios on default settings..no help..
OS:win 8 64 bit
Processor: amd phenom II 955 be
motherboard:asus m4a88t m-le
psu:FSP SAGA 500W
it's a simple plug and play keyboard(microsoft)
what could be the problem?? is it the cheap ps2 to usb converter or is it a system problem???
