I was wondering why the only refresh rate option is 60hz? I'm using a Panasonic Plasma as my monitor and I know its at least 120hz if not 240hz .. so is there something I'm doing wrong? How cant I adjust this?

Plasma's are advertised with a 600Hz refresh rate (don't you love marketing) due to the way they use sub-field technology display video content, but most Plasma displays cannot actually accept a 120Hz input. This isn't an issue though, because a Plasma display at 60Hz will handle motion much better than any LCD. If you're using a Plasma display as your PC monitor, just set it to 60Hz and enjoy the awesome PQ. Be careful with static images though, as they can cause burn-in issues.

Ugh your answer sounds so good but I have been enjoying it at 60hz (btw 600hz was what I was thinking idk why I said 120/240). Anyways the problem I have is there is a bit of lag/latency from moving my mouse to the movement on the display. I was thinking that forcing a higher refresh rate would cause this to go away or be less noticeable. Again is there anyway to force a refresh rate in windows maybe and that would cause it to be an option in CCC?

vsync is off and I have lots of screen tearing .. I'm sorry though can you give me a source that says it will only accept 60hz?

also to reduce screen tearing @ 120hz without vsync you will need the computer to display a constant 120fps. If the frames dip or increase you will decrease syncing rate with the tv and cause tearing. Same with 60hz, but in your case vsync creates input lag. 120hz may be a little better with vsync + input lag wise albeit your computers graphics power would have to be pretty beefy.

If you cant set it to 120hz, most likely the tv will only accept 60hz. If you dont like screen tearing and dont like the input lag (might need to put up with one or the other) find out if you can limit the fps to 60 from the game itself. Reason you're getting screen tearing is your computer is probably putting out more than 60fps.
