Okay, so I've been looking into getting a new card to replace my little F430!
From looking around and for the budget I have, the 7770 seems like a nice card to me! I'm not a hardcore gamer and have a budget of about £100. But I do still enjoy my games like Sniper Elite and Far Cry.

Anyways, looking around for the place where I can get the 7770 cheapest, there seems to be a couple of different 'editions' of the card such as:

  • Core
    Ghz
    Ghz OC
Maybe some others too!

Basically, is there really a difference to these cards? If so;

  • What one is best?
Which is the better brand? (XFX, Sapphire etc.)

And finally! I'm not great when it comes to the knowledge of specs of cards(what certain things mean) so are there any cards that a better in terms of the £100 budget?

Thank you all in advance! I look forward to your responses :)

Cheapest one I've found

£89.00
Asus Radeon HD 7770 DirectCU Graphics Card (1GB GDDR5, PCI Express 3.0, 1020MHz/4600MHz, HDMI, DVI-I, DVI-D, AMD CrossFireX Technology, AMD Eyefinity Technology)
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-DirectCU-CrossFireX-Technology-Eyefinity/dp/B007RS49EG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1370369384&sr=8-1&keywords=hd+7700

Good brands are XFX, MSi, Sapphire, HIS and ASUS. PowerColor has great prices but idk how good they are.
Some editions come with a faster base clock, which, obviously makes them faster but just by a little bit.

Core Ghz Ghz OC etc are flashy names for theyr cards and they mean how much they'r overclocked or if they are overclocked at all.and almost all brands are good i guess. but asus gigabte MSI sapphier powercolor etc are well known brand's with good customer support i think.and for £100 price point 7770 is the best out there.

The cheapest and best value card of the HD 7770 is this: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1gb-xfx-radeon-hd-7770-dd-core-edition-4500mhz-gddr5-28nm-gpu-1000mhz-640-cores-dport-dl-dvi-hdmi-pl#

And I am personal going to get this one because of the free Farcry 3 game. :)
